Max, despite his fear, wanted to help. He noticed that the hunters had set up traps all around a big tree where the animals often gathered. Max knew that if he could sneak past the hunters and disable the traps, the other animals would be safe.
At first, Max was afraid. But he reminded himself that courage wasn’t about not being scared – it was about doing the right thing, even when you’re scared. So, with his small body and quick movements, Max quietly approached the traps and began working to disarm them.
Thanks to his size, he was able to crawl through the smallest spaces and avoid detection by the hunters. One by one, Max disabled the traps. When the other animals saw what Max had done, they couldn’t believe it.
“Max, you’re so brave!” they said. “You saved us all!”
Max smiled and replied, “It doesn’t matter how big or strong you are. What matters is the size of your courage.”
The lesson: Bravery isn’t about being fearless. Like Max, true courage comes from taking action, even when you’re scared. No matter how small you are, you can make a big difference.
